CAM Travel Grants
The Center for Applied Mathematics regularly supports Mathematics Department faculty and graduate student travel to conferences. A call for applications is sent out each late Summer and late Fall. If budgets allow applications outside these deadlines will be considered. Each award will be for a maximum of $600 to be used for travel, lodging and registration fees.
The following policies apply.
- Each faculty member or student can receive a maximum of $600 in support in any 36 month period.
- Priority will be given to applicants who are confirmed speakers at their conference.
- To be eligible for support a graduate student needs to have a thesis advisor, a PhD committee, and have begun work on a problem related to the conference they wish to attend.
- To balance the awards, preference will be given to fields which have not received much support in recent years.
To apply please email the information below to Phil Boyland.
