CAM Graduate Research Paper Award

The Award

This award is given to a current UF graduate student in the Department of Mathematics for a research paper that appeared or was accepted in a major peer-reviewed journal. The award includes a monetary prize in the amount of $800  and a recognition at the Department of Mathematics Spring Tea ceremony.

Eligibility

To be considered for an award, a student has to be in good academic standing, and be an author or a co-author on a publication that appeared in press or electronically, or is about to appear in a major scientific journal with the peer-review process. An eligible publication must have the acceptance date anywhere between April 1st or the previous year and March 31st of the the current year.

Submission Process

A copy of the paper or the galley proofs must be submitted along with the acceptance letter from the editorial board. A separate statement describing the student’s contribution to the paper must also be submitted. Multiple submissions are allowed.

Selection Process

The winner (or winners) is selected by a committee of graduate mathematics faculty formed in consultation with the CAM co-directors.
